Spanish Lambretta 1965 Eibar Winter Model – Darryl Taylor Tuned GT186

There’s no doubt in my mind that these ‘Winter Models’ are one of the coolest off shoot Lambrettas ever made. Built under licence in Spain at the purpose built factory in Eibar these gorgeous machines feature the iconic turning mudgiuard as used on the Lambretta Rallymaster but they also have the unique SX styled handlebars and headlight.

What is already quite a rare machine has been further improved with a full restoration, externally the bodywork is in very good condition and has been resprayed in a cyan-blue which gives it an ice cool look, matched with the silver forks, hubs and rims as well as some black accents it really does look the business.

The front end benefits from a GP inboard disc brake and front dampers, new tyres and tubes have been fitted to new rims all round. A handy and rather large rally style legshield toolbox has been fitted as well as a new seat and a funky spare wheel holder and carrier.

The engine has been completely rebuilt using all the highest quality parts, including new bearings and seals throughout. A Darryl Taylor tuned GT 186 cylinder on a Mazzucchelli crankshaft, with a BGM stator and AF mid weight flywheel. The gearbox is an Li 150 with 16/46 sprockets with an MB clutch and springs and finally it is fitted with an Avanti ST exhaust which sounds incredible!
